JOB SUMMARY:Under the general supervision of the Charge Technologist (Ultrasound) performs standard cardiac ultrasound procedures, including cardiac studies and measurements, and providing preliminary assessment for review and interpretation by the Radiologist. Provides education on the topic of procedures and consent.
QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from a recognized sonography program; plus (ARDMS) American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers certified or (CARDUP) Canadian Association of Registered Ultrasound Professionals certified; and (RDCS) Registered Diagnostic Cardiology Sonographer certified.
Two (2) years’ recent, related vascular experience in a cardiac lab, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
